Human Rights (Gender)                                War

Give it up, Steve: Recommendation to Steve Huntley, Sun Times columnist with the summary thought on May 8 column, quote, “Contrive for Mohammed and his cronies (“Islamists”) to escape, and as they make their break have a drone hovering nearby to deliver the justice they deserve.”

After describing “the admirable, cool, efficiency of the Obama administration, the military, and the CIA in using predator drones to kill our ememies.” I wonder who Plato and Homer would think more cowardly, a drone operator “coolly and efficiently” and I should add, very safely, guiding a bullet from 12,000 km away, or the suicide bomber who looks in the eye of her physical neighbor as she releases the trigger to the bomb wrapped around her waist that killed them both?

Steve Huntley’s column most days is filled with hate, desire for vengeance, moral certitude, and justice. Justice that amounts to “ten of your eyes for every one of our eyes, ten teeth for our tooth, 100 deaths for one death"; even death for just “thinking” about hurting us (me) Americans.”

Whose armies are in whose countries? Who is the aggressor? Militarily? Culturally? Who cast the first stone? I can imagine someone thinking, “We did”. Not only the first but a couple of unrelenting series (barrage) of stones: crusades, colonialism, appropriation of the finest agricultural land (Israel), and then, the last straw,

Muslim lament: “Invasion of the homeland of our prophet to intervene in an internal Arab squabble, Kuwait. So after patiently, praise Allah, absorbing assault upon assault of our peaceful, God-loving way of life, we are finally driven to act, and 9/11 was an unbelievably successful raid, praise Allah. We just want you to leave us alone. Quit casting stones at us, or we will continue to futily defend our way of life, a way much more Godly than the materialistic ways you spread as a plague across the earth. We can be good neighbors, we are far more tolerant than you, despite your anecdotes and associated beliefs of the opposite used to justify you’re your own intolerance of us. We never had an 'inquisition', yours continues today – refocused on human values, 'human rights', including of course 'women’s rights'. You claim we exploit women, enslave them and hide them. Well, we, both men and women, cherish women as the womb of life and do not believe in ostentation, but modesty for both men and women is in accord with Allah’s wishes, praise be. Who exploits women? Just look at your television for five minutes and note attempts of actors, especially the women, to be sexually desirable. You treat women as pure sex objects, perhaps as a consequence of the accelerating feminization of your culture.”

When women established the right to tell their husband, “No” they also won the power to say, “Only if …..” Why did Allah make men bigger than women? So perhaps it is our women who are exploiting our men, using sexual fantasy through the images of our media, to keep men in a “panting” state of, “Yes, dear, whatever you want, just please fuck me” --- “Yes, dear, but only if ……”

A recommendation for someone: Let’s put some words together with their characterization of “male or female” and “good or bad” (example below for a start). Then poll the internet, mixing word order. Polling pages designed to ask both independently and on the same page “male or female” and “good or bad”. Use neutral words as well. Randomize word pairs. Ask particapants what gender they are only. I bet both sexes will strongly correlate male with bad (evil).

Woman power: “Yes, honey, only if, but just a second, dear, let me put on my sheer negligee to cover my ugly rough skin (real me) with smooth silk (fantasy me). Just take care of me and my kind and I will act your dreams. Just give me things, baubles and twigs for my nest. Enslave yourself to my commitment, the gift of my body – Give me wealth! Give me power! Kill for me! Cheat for me! Protect me with your life, even from those I harm. Give me you! Do all this and wear my collar and let me lead you by your leash” (note the necks of men on “respectable news TV shows: collared and leashed, drab clothes, no skin other than hands and face, short (shorn) hair; now note the women, no collars, open necks, commonly positioned for the camera to show lots of leg skin with sheer, fantasy enhancing stockings, often above the knee, bare arms, colorful clothes, long hair, both mandatory, perhaps even as written policy).

Back to Muslim lament: “So perhaps you in the west have attached men’s aggressive natures to the service of a woman’s siren song, Give me more if you want to fuck me. All from the 'human' or specifically woman’s right to say, 'No', denying the man his God given tool of persuasion, for his 'right' to say to his mate 'at my insistence'. Why did Allah make men bigger than women? To dominate them sexually, obviously, just like many other mammals. Perhaps your men have leashed and collared their lives to siren songs. So there is certainly room for mutually respectful discussion of gender roles between us and it’s not at all clear that your way of 'women’s rights' are right with Allah. But the suggestion that a man has a right to physically force a particular voluntarily positioned woman, a wife, for sex is heresy in the Germanic races' current view of 'human rights', hence your continued inquisition.”

Who is more tolerant? Who cast the first stone? Whose warriors are cowards? Who exploits sexuality and other base instincts for profit? Whose armies are in whose countries?

So, Steve and your fellow travelers, GIVE IT UP! You kill them because they kill you because you kill them. It feeds on and feeds hate and vengeance; and it proudly carries the banner of justice, retribution, punishment and thought coercion. I suspect it eats at the soul, so it’s not for me, but for you, Steve. Just a suggestion, give up your hate, and, Steve, you just might like it.

Oh, by the way, in my “imagining” of another’s possible thoughts, rape of an unwilling spouse would rarely occur in cultures that respect men’s physical dominance, never in most marriages, because the rule is understood, and, well, “it mostly feels good anyway, and I can wait”. So give it up Steve. Put down your stones. Cast them no more. Habits die hard, so the enemies you created and who created you will continue to cast stones your way.

Simple solution, as someone once recommended, turn the other cheek. I’ll bet the “enemy” will stop casting stones after you wince a few times, but don’t respond in turn. But in the meantime, understand how someone could hate you so much for hurting them that they want to kill you, because you are there too.
