I Learned That Long Ago
I can still taste the sweetness of her skin
And feel the softness of her breasts
Her hair would get all tangled from my hands
And she would laugh and call me names
So I would make fun of the
Freckles on her chest.
But she didn't laugh when it was
Most important to me.
She understood as I hid my
Face in her neck and cried
She said she loved me before she left.
I saw her again not too long ago
And she said she loved me too.
I knew she didn't mean it,
I learned that long ago.
