Note for line 1: Goggin was my mother's mother I wrote this as a eulogy to my mother as she lay dying in a hospital. She died just three weeks later on July 24. I read it at her memorial service on July 28, 1993 at the Congregational Church in Dundee, Illinois, less than a mile from where she was born.
