Appearance and Reality

Artists and Scientists: The scientist’s eye and the artist’s eye are similar. Both are trained to see beyond our mind’s image of what we can see, smell, hear, touch, or taste (sense) to what is actually “there”. The scientist to classify and the artist to reproduce. Then both must recombine the sensed reality to form a new, more coherent image; the scientist a model, the artist an impression.
