Science (losing fur)
In going through my journal entries making this web site, I noticed I did not record my favorite take on why we lost our fur. Fire. Baby's burning when set next to the warmth of the fire after fire was first discovered. Maybe baby's fur burning was related to the "crash" in human ancestors about 500,000 to 1,000,000 years ago, rather than climate. It seems fire (carbon burning) in the key, "Fire in the Ocean" and Fire in Civilization. |
