Letter to Pope Francis (unsent) Sin
Civil Morality: There is a terrible plague of morality upon the world now, perhaps as always. Today one its guises besides the familiar preacher’s black, is the cloak of “common human decency”. A cloak I believe worn on the priest’s black garb, all while claiming to be rid of such “immoral” undergarments. The current civil morality even extends sin to intent rather than actions. Even intent is divined by law (society), e.g. drunk drivers. Senses: My first robin spotted today. I’m slow, always behind the times |
