Morality                                Thought Process

Two chapters in the Great Decisions course book
  • a polemic on R2P (right to protect human rights around the world) My paraphrase, “We MUST impose goodness and order on the world"
  • a wonderful guide in how to get along.
The pen is slower than the mind, giving pause to reconsider every word to the end of the growing thought. Words too are slower than the mind, though thought is hard to catch without them. My thought seems to grow as a tree where branches grow ever at the ends. I choose a branch from the many that fall away as others grow. I fall as gravity up this dendritic tree until I tire or leap to another nearby branch. The senses command my thought, often as movement catches my eye, loud quick sound my ear. But with patterned gentle movement and sound, thoughts can ignore sounds for a while. In this state my pen doth move. At times however I prefer momentary fear, anticipation of food or sexual pleasure that arrives at my senses. However yet, as I lose my hearing I find the patterned quite far more pleasing. Some it seems prefer incessant fear and anticipation, at times I suspect because they fear their thoughts even more.

I really have little to say about what I say. What is more to be said other than what is said? I could read my words and say more, and often do, but I just confuse matters worse when I do, for the matter is confusing, nes pas?

Mormans: I expect the Mormons thought I was wasting their time as they were mine. They may have thought either (1) I was saved already, or (2) I was un-savable and their task was to “save” people and not waste time on either 1 or 2. What a shame because either 1 or 2 could teach them.

Addenda to story New Years Day
Buddha paused at the gate, he heard again, “Next” then “Any regrets?” No, your honor. “Are you sure?” Well, actually I regret the suffering I was unable to stop. I do love the lord and want everyone else to love him too, so, yes I do rue that I did not have more time to do the lord’s good work for my fellow suffering humans. “You shall have your wish, more time to do the good lord’s work. Next.

Buddha’s disciple when asked “Are you sure?” No doubt at all, but thank you deeply for the opportunity, but I do have a question, “It is extinction is it not?” Go back and learn for your self says St. Peter. “Next”. After hearing these 2 “Nexts”, Buddha smiles and slips into the mist beyond the gate, ever ready for what comes next.
