Idea of God                              Morality                              Thought Process

Think the way “we” do and there will be peace: We American are the fighting-est people in the world (per capita $ on military, murder rates, football and boxing revenue, obsession with competition and winning, etc……….

Yet we claim we
  1. only want peace
  2. respect for human rights.
Obama said yesterday “use of chemical weapons by Syria in Syria is a “red line” for military intervention. ISTMRN that (2) trumps (1) every time, so war is necessary until everyone and county repects human rights

                                                                                 “The way we do”
                                                                                         then
                                                                             “Peace will be at hand”

Morality and God: Who am I to try to arrange the world as God would have it? That’s way above my pay grade, but I do expend considerable and thought about way to improve the world as I would have it. Am I so arrogant as to claim (presume) my ways are god’s ways? But who knows, maybe they are, probably not. Though I am here so god is willing if not approving.

ISTMRN the basis of all morality is or should be “and so are you”.

Morality of Fairness, Community, and Greed: ISTMRN both ends of the political left-right spectrum believe in “fairness” (really shaky hand today). “Greed” is of course the desire for too much, which is more than one’s “fair” share of community resources. But most, ISTMRN, on both ends think “greedy” people and companies take “too much”. That means there is “excess” community wealth tied up in “greed” that is rightfully everyone else’s, so

“I being one of everyone else, am not getting my ‘fair share’ because of evil greed. I deserve more as a member of this community, but I am not greedy, I just want my ‘fair share’.”

Rare is the person who believes their share is more than fair.

A remembrance of something someone said or wrote long ago.
“If God had meant for the roadside to be un-mowed, he wouldn’t have given us the brains to invent lawnmowers.”
I scoffed ‘til now, or at least recently re-evaluated.

I guess I seem to be at a place and time where my randomly occurring atoms are asking
       Not                                               But
What is right?                             What is “rightness”?
What is wrong?                          What is “wrongness”?
What is fair?                               What is?
What does God want?                What has God wrought?
and saying
Damn God (Devil) for evil        Thank God for the opportunity to damn evil

An opportunity, by the way, I seem less inclined to avail myself of. Thank God, I am an atheist. Aphorism 4
