Language Morality
Shibboleth: inclusivity, diversity, freedom, democracy, private ownership, regulation, law, human life, saving lives, human rights (especially now gay, women, sexual, (except kids), minority rights, respect, tolerance, etc.) Shibboleths = principles = self-evident = assumptions = assertions: often contradictory when examined by deduction. Often taken as “inalienable” morality, the summum bonum, or more precisely, summa bona beyond “challenge”, which of course attracts my and others' skeptical attentions. |
