Morality                              Appearance and Reality

Exercise: Two observations: (1) a hefty woman running for exercise, pushing her baby carriage: conjecture? Maybe she is running, enduring pain, to keep (appear) “fit and trim”, which is completely in control of eating and normal exercise, so why the pain when the same objective can be achieved much easier? – Don’t eat so much. Perhaps though the exercise is for “health” as well or perhaps even instead of appearance. Again, I think eating can do most of that. "Even if a few seconds or even a few years of life can be gained, is it worth a life of self-induced pain? To many ISTMRN the answer is a definite, “YES”. But I say, “Why waste what little time we have on pain? It all ends someday anyway. What is an additional second or year to eternity?

Observation (2): I forget.

When does dusk end and night begin? Are they the same? Related? Sunset can be measured when the horizontal diameter of the sun or at its last appearing tangent cross the theoretical horizon, but the fade of day into night only occurs in the mind.
