Science (life's fire)

Fire of Life: I chased the fire of life to electrons switching from carbon to oxygen inside mitochondria. It has been burning at least 3 billion years, randomly testing shells upon shells (semi-permeable membranes) (e.g. cell walls all the way up to cars and consciousness) all to “play with the possibilities” or just “because electrons repel each other.”
