Epistemology                Idea of "Other"          Language                Souls

Circulation Design: I changed my furnace circulation from one fan to two fans today. I’m glad to report that performance exceeded design expectations. I use my stove-top electrical burners as my heat source, I heat them till they just start to glow. My old, one fan system pushed air to the coils from beyond and opposite the heat source in a small kitchen alcove. The one fan system pushed most heat out of the alcove along the ceiling to set up turbulence in the rest of the apartment. It worked pretty well. In fact a spiral was set up drawing cool floor air directly over the heating coils then hitting the ceiling down the back wall of the alcove. However the overall efficiency is unknown. The energy required to drive the second fan may exceed the energy transfer augmented by the increase in delta T in the air passing over the burners. Somebody can make that calculation, not me, not today. But I love the spiral I made but didn’t design. Wu Wie!

Dharma: Samsara, as Dante's Hell and Paradise, is but an expression of hope for release from this sordid life, but requires strict adherence to moral principles (dharma) as a sea slug with everlasting hope with forbearance with one lot. Nirvana, ISTMRN, is the realization that I will die and be no more, letting go of vain hope for rebirth as a brahman. Epicurus told us in the west that is it is vain hope.

Motion and Sphere Centered Universe: Is motion real? Well, of course, except perhaps my motion is not real. I am centered-sphere universe. I am always here, never there. Thing around me “move” relative to my fixed position. I am the observer (in the physics sense) of my universe, ala Schoerderger. Cartesian space make me a manipulable mote in a vast universe, which I am not. I can think of God or gods or no god at all (my preferece). I can feel hunger in my belly. You cannot think those thought or feel that hunger. You have you own universe, not mine. I cannot know that universe any better than you can know mine.

Symbols like writing and math help knowing, but perhaps they hinder knowing. We sure seem to think the former. Atomizing symbols atomizes thought and information, despite some physicists. I take here that symbolism is restricted to human perception, rather than to statistically predictable patterns of interaction of energy and matter (that too is part of human perception).

Martialists and Trancendentalists: It seems the materialists can’t get into their thick skulls that human thought creates mathematics, not the other way around. It seems the mystical transcendentalists can’t get into their thick skulls that this “soul of awareness” does not exist beyond the current moment.

Knowing: Perhaps Epicurus and Buddha “knew”. I hardly know if I know.
