Mormons (again):Perhaps the Mormons who were here the other day and others believe the written word in their bible is the “true” word of God. Because God is everlasting good and perfect, the words mean exactly what they say, no more nor less. To paraphrase what many seem to believe: To study the word is only to "read" it, not interpret it. It is the “words” that are holy not the “ideas” behind the words. Discussion is irrelevant because truth is already known through the “word” as written. |
