Thought Process

There is a popular saying, “Think globally, act locally”, i.e. think about human impact in general, in the abstract, and act in your realm of influence to improve the global conditions by improving the local conditions.

That seems OK, though I would say, “Think locally, act locally”, see the local problems and fix them, if you want to be a fixer, not those fed to you by some “global” abstract, generalized, exaggerated adverse conditions, somewhere else in the world. "Think locally, act locally" to "save" the environment, as if it needs saving; though it's good advise anyway.
