Appearance and Reality Idea of "Other" Thought Process
Note to Heather about what to do with journals: Knowing: Some people say knowing is possible, especially though use of mathematic (for some people, the “only” way), which is essentially counting, then interpolating and finally extrapolating between counts. That sure helps knowing, but more so helps communicating about knowing. Is there any difference? I just saw a “camephelantison” in the pattern of crushed marijuana on my smoking palette. It has the trunk and head of an elephant, the hump of a camel and the rump of a bison. Does such a thing exist? Well, almost certainly not “out there”, but most certainly now “in here”. Now maybe “in here: for you too, thus “out there” for me, but I will never know that. I have been in corporate board rooms, and lectured to nationally elite scientists, spent time in jail, been hailed by the thousands as a hero, and scorned by the same, condemned as the most despicable of human and other creatures, a sexual “pervert”, and many other caricatures as well. And through it all, even as I played, I watched. So Heather, here are some of the things I saw. To be quite arrogant, I think they might belong in the “Great Conversation” (google it). So you are the first filter. I was too shy or afraid of rejection to try myself; plus that would be self-proselytization. But after reading, pausing often to try to add to where the thought leads, you find hints of humor, remorse, joy, sorrow, but mostly smidgens of truth from perhaps a different perspective. Then (boy, this is hard) give it a fair hearing on some publishing circuit, Buddhist, philosophical, or self-published venues. If it doesn’t pass your screening, in the trash with it (which is where it will end up anyway ala "Rosebud" in the old movie “Citizen Kane”). |
