Science (measure of time)

Rhythms of Time: Natural rhythms (short to long, per second, rounded): heart-1, breathing-5, day-86400, year-30 million. No wonder it took a while to catch on to the year, maybe not till agriculture. I suspect a lot earlier though I see no descriptions of yearly cycles in any cave art. After years comes some sort of galactic rhythm we have yet to sense at about 1015 seconds. The first few are instinctual (certainly related to speech and music), the others abstract from the "imagined world", though the day and year are manifest in sleep and reproductive patterns of some species.
