Thought Process

I cleaned my files today and discarded about 50 kilos of paper. I wondered if that had any noticeable effect in my apartment. I quickly dismissed gravitational, but thought electromagnetic, i.e. in this case, thermally less energy would be required to change room temperature; but a tiny amount to keep the apartment in near thermal equilibrium at 72-74°F during the winter. In summer I don’t air condition, I just open or close windows to manage equilibrium with the outside air.

Isness: I patted myself on the back, and said “it is good to save energy” (despite consuming 50 times the energy it takes to live). But then again for the umpteenth time I caught myself: for of course there is no “good”, there only “is”.
