Compassion                       Soul

Compassion: Compassion serves as well, so long as each person, on average, produces surplus, but if, on average, each person is a net consumer (of food, resources, energy, etc.) compassion strains the species, so compassion is as relative as sight of light; compassion is situational.

My Universe as my soul: It seems so that I, based on genes and history, create a unique universe, shared in part and to greater or lessor mutual understanding with others who each have their own unique universe to live in. I think most likely there is a universe independent of mine, and that through science and language and emotion and cellular metabolism, I can catch the faintest glimpse of that universe, but it is the universe Scott that I must live in. So science is not a delusion, just an incomplete view.
