Compassion                            Jail Time                            Morality

Called Jeannie today on her birthday.

Random thoughts: I remember Mary Kelley called me “inhuman” because I compared Vietnam war deaths to traffic deaths and said, “I did not care for those I did not know”, which is true. Calling someone, anyone, “inhuman” is a step to allowing people to kill each other. A common belief is “There are two classes of creation: humans and everything else. Humans are in God’s image (compare cultures here) and must be treated as sacred and revered and loved. We MUST have compassion for humans – ALL human. But “others” don’t qualify for God’s protective goodness and can be treated to serve “human needs”, even killed and tortured. It is a belief common in society. “Muslims are ungodly, blacks are inferior, jews are greedy, Packer’s fans are stupid, etc. etc……”
